The Gospel

The word “Gospel” means “Good News”. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Good News for all of mankind that came as the result of the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Jesus is our Savior!

You may be asking, “Saved from what?” “Why do I need a Savior?”

The short answer is that, because of our sins, every person on earth deserves, and is heading towards, an eternity in Hell. This is a place of conscious, everlasting torment.

That is the bad news. We need to know the bad news in order to understand the good news.

The Good News is that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son – Jesus Christ – as a payment for the sins of the whole world.

Jesus Christ lived a sinless life – He was the only person who did NOT deserve Hell. Yet, Jesus knowingly, and willingly gave His life up, to be crucified on a cross, for your sins and my sins.

Jesus was killed. He was buried. Three days later, He arose from the grave just as He had prophesied, proving that He was who He said He was – God, Himself!

Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection doesn’t save everybody on earth – only those that believe on Him.  You must place your faith for eternal life in Jesus and Jesus alone.  You must repent of your unbelief, repent from any other gods, repent of trusting in your works, and place your faith in Jesus alone.

If you have believed on Jesus, you are saved!  You are now one of God’s children, adopted into His family!  You are now indwelt with His Holy Spirit and sealed unto the day of redemption!

And it is all because of Jesus Christ!  To Him be the glory!

Having heard the Good News – will you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
